This is what I thought::: Hundreds of hundreds of years ago, I thought the that it was common for one rabbi to write and send one person’s shaila to another rabbi to collaborate, at times. The teshuvos weren’t written for public access. They were written for rabbonim as a resource to help them posken. —Is that right?
When did us regular people have access to such answers? The internet makes it way easier. I know that Ohel Chabad has records of almost all of the Rebbe’s letters for people to read.
When did seforim of compiled teshuvos become available? To rabbinic authorities? To commoners?
