Hashem is the source of EVERYTHING. Every Middoh that we humans perceive and possess come from Hashem but He is the source. You know the concept of middos is about trying to emulate Hashem, Ma Hu Rachum Af Atah Rachum…Of course one needs to learn how to go about all that but thats the purpose and derech to middah refinement.
