When travelling internationally with a lot of cash, I put it in my socks. Not because I’m carrying an illegal amount of money – simply because I don’t want it stolen.
Don’t worry – I put it in a plastic bag.
Shoes don’t sound very safe to me, especially since I have a hard time keeping my shoes on.
