Winnie The Pooh – I have heard of that issue (mainly in books, I think), and it may be a real halachic issue discussed by the Poskim, but l’maaseh, I don’t think I have ever met anyone who was makpid not to bring dolls into their house.
It seems that there are probably opinions that it’s okay, and most people hold by those opinions. I think the svara to permit it is that the dolls don’t look like people.
