That park date story made me laugh out loud, because my daughter had her own park-date debacle. A blind date arranged by a friend of hers (the boy was a friend of the girl’s husband), picked my daughter up and had no idea where to go, so he asked if she knew of a park. She really didn’t but he remembered there was one about 20 minutes away, so he drove around until he found it. The parking situation was difficult, but he finally found a spot and they went into the park. First thing she noticed – all the people playing with dogs in the park. She is DEATHLY afraid, and the boy knew that before the date. Then they kind of wandered aropund aimlessly until it started to get dark and she felt uneasy, so she suggested they get ready to leave. He needed to use the restroom, so he left her standing out in a very deserted area by the facilities, in the dark. He finally came out (I just had a flashback to my own date experience that I posted here), and they left, but he could not remember where the car was. They wandered around, until they finally found it. He took ehr home, and needless to say, that was not an experience to be repeated.
