Will it help ward off future sensitivity? Very possible. However, once someone knows that a person has reacted to peanuts then everything should be done to help that person avoid it. My wife used to baby sit a girl who was highly allergic to fish. When that child was in the house we did not even cook fish as we knew she could react.
