Regardless of one’s adherence to the Torah, it is both immoral and cruel to force individuals who do not follow the religion to follow your own specific guidelines. It is most certainly not our place to dictate the law of the land as it pertains to same-sex marriage, nor is it our place to dictate any law from a strictly religious standpoint. The separation of church and state exists for a reason.
