I’ve been using K9 for quite some time, and one of the biggest issues I have is that it’s very hard to really fine tune it within a category. For example, they lump “streaming video and MP3” (or something similar – I’m not at home right now to see) together. So it will block YouTube and Spotify, the latter of which I like and use. Also, I don’t think there’s a filter on earth that will filter YouTube itself. My son’s professor at Touro assigned them some videos to watch on YouTube. He had to stay late at the school to view them there, since it’s such a pain to open up the category on our computer.
Second gripe is that it seem like the program is totally unsupported and hasn’t been updated in eons. So I think I’ll try the OpenDNS several of you requested. BTW, I work in computers, so customizing settings doesn’t bother me.
