Reply To: New York – those little brown garbage cans

It will become mandatory at a later date. My neighbor put it out (in B.P.) , and after a week she called 311 that it hadn’t been picked up. She was connected to Sanitation and they told her that since they have only one truck in this area it will take a while. She then emptied it into the regular trash. A few days later she got a call that the truck is in front of her house and the brown bin isn’t there.
