Waze is useful, and every time we get lost or end up stuck in a construction zone, I wish we had it.
yet Waze is not fool -proof, and relying on it blindly has gotten people into trouble- like leading you into non-safe neighborhoods (like Arab rock-throwing areas in Israel), or unlit, winding back-roads that might shave a few minutes off of the travel time, but are not as safe as the main roads at night. It’s a bad idea to lose those map-reading skills. Just as it is a bad idea to lose the ability to communicate with others in person with full sentences.
