ubitquin, what u fail to be having is perspective…what I wrote is not fake halacha on any stretch….it is very intimidating for a person to walk into a shul that he has never been to(maybe not for everyone but that doesn’t matter)…a person is sometimes even more nervous and shy to take a seat so the halacha is we don’t want to make them more uncomfortable…it doesn’t matter what you paid for and it doesn’t matter how you do it because you will never be able to know exactly how that person feels….and if your rave is not well versed in “fake halacha” then I suggest you find a new rav…..
