@zahavasdad: I�m not sure what your kashrut credentials are but you can not make a blanket statement that the OU is the �gold standard.� While the OU is considered reliable on products, their hashgacha on MEAT is most certainly not widely accepted by many, and that�s why in most cases, you�ll see that when a meat product has an OU, in most cases it will have an additional hashgacha. I have spoken with a very famous, ehrliche Rov in kashrut and if people would know what goes on, they�d hesitate before so easily accepting certain hashgochos.
