So if a person dies after taking 69 pills and a person dies after taking 70 pills –

NO!

If you want to test the 70th pill you do the Pill vs ZERO pills.
That is SCIENTIFIC.

Testing 69 pills vs 70 pills is NOT scientific – even if the 70th pill is different.
