There are advantages to having a late model car. Older cars break down and if there are alot of kids you do worry about safety if the car breaks down where it isnt supposed to.
Most areas are gray areas, there are really very few cut and dry cases. Is eating meat 3 times a week a luxury? How about eating Pizza once a week at the Pizza store so Mom can relax and not cook. I can think of lots of things along those lines.
