The truth is that the Democrat Party has long tolerated anti-Semitism in its ranks. It isn’t new. At least as far back as the Democrats accepting anti-Semitites such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as Democrats in good standing whom they not only accept and tolerate but actually coddle with.
Republicans, on the other hand, when dealing with anti-Semitites in their party, such as David Duke, they actively disassociate themselves with and condemn.
What is new with the Democrats is that they now are officially adopting anti-Semitic platforms as official party positions. Last week when House Democrats refused to endorse a clean condemnation of anti-Semitism, even though Jewish House Democrats were angry their leadership watered down the generic condemnation of anti-Semitism, and their refusal to specifically condemn elected Democrats who are virtually open anti-Semitites, is only the most recent iteration of this prevalent phenomenon in the institutionally anti-Semitic Democrat Party.
