Reply To: Manhattan is considered “mukaf chomos” for shabbos – what about for Purim?

R. Shmuel Dishon was once in Manhattan when he met an acquaintance who said, “good afternoon, R. Dishon.” R. Dishon responded that it was only 10:00 AM, it wasn’t noon yet. “In Manhattan it is always after noon shaarei tumah!”
My response is that the chomos of tumah don’t count as chomos for Purim.
In case someone thinks this makes sense, you drank too much too early.
