As much as I found his antics entertaining at times, it was inevitable. Trolling will always involve trickery, but doing so with the halachah is for sure lifnei iver. There’s a dark possibility that RGP actually thought it would be funny if he could convince unlearned readers to follow a made-up halachah (similar to how trolls on the ganzer internet think it’s funny to convince people that things are secret racism when they aren’t).
