As per a different thread, “why there are 49 Tochochos in P. Bechukosai, and 49 in P. Ki Sovoi?
BECAUSE: By yezias Micrayim, HKB”H took us out of 49 Shaarei Tumah, and till Shavuos we had to reach the 49 Shaari Kedusha. We didn’t manage it, we get 49 Tochochos.
During Elul, we have to get out of 49 Shaarei Tumah, and get into 49 Shaarei Kedusha. We don’t accomplish it, we get 09 Tochochos…
Therefore RASHI on “Atem Nizavim” says that the Yidden were scared “their faces turned yellow” from fright” From hearing the 147 Tochochos. “who can survive these?” Etc…..
