Nevuah does not need to have a direction. It can also come from an intermediary. The ‘vessel’ the contains the Nevuah is the Navi’s stages of consciousness. If there are impurities there, (i. e. Too much awareness of others, seeking vanity, and indulgence of the Id.) then it will taint the message. [Pure water in a dirty bucket, is the same as dirty water.] Being that you stated you were in a clear stream of consciousness at the time, I would suggest that you repeat what you were doing, and see if you can hold the message longer.
