Arson and looting is wrong and should be prosecuted. But for the arson and looting that was near me (walking distance), videos showed NYPD officers standing by and doing nothing to stop it.
But there is a difference between simple criminal activity and the attempt to overthrow the US government by force, which is what happened on January 6.
