to which I directly replied (quoting it) why isnt it up to Ukraine? An independent country has the right to conduct its own foreign affairs.

Yes The US was wrong to invade Iraq. That has approximately zero bearing on Russia invading Ukraine. China is bad in no way does that justify Russia
