We find by Basyeh, the daughter of Pharaoh that she stretched out her hand and it grew so that she should be able to reach Moshe Rabbenu. They ask, how did she know that her hand will grow? The Baalei Mussar, say the person should do whatever one can and then Hashem will do His part. Its like חציה לה’ וחציה לכם, if half is done by us then the other half will be done by Hashem. Reb Moshe ztz’l says by bringing up children, after putting in half of our effort then we must pray that it should bear fruits. Half perspiration and half inspiration.
