If this was par for the course, it wouldn’t be a criticism to say that someone wrote kach vekach just because he was taking advice from Aristotle, or because he lived in a country that favored one philosophical method over another, or because he wanted to disprove a contemporary.
These attacks are saying not that the recipient erred, but that their statements are not Torah. That is something that only people in their league can accuse, like the example of rav huna and rebbe which we discussed earlier.
