The Taliban 20 is holding out for a written set of commitments from McCarthy on the rule changes, committee assignments, guaranteed floor votes etc. they are demanding so this circus should wind up on Friday AM with either McCarthy or Scalise elected. To save face, some of the real crazies like Gosar, Boebert and Goetz may insist that McCarthy step aside for Scalise and that could happen. It will not go beyond the weekend.
