Excuse me, but this thread is missing a crucial point from a Torah perspective. A toad is a Sheretz and is Tamei, while a frog is neither. They should not be hanging out with each other, as the gemara says at the end of perek “אלו טריפות’, that לא לחינם הלך זרזיר אצל עורב.
