@gadolhadofi you can make a point without bashing reb Lazer, a man who you would ( hopefully) Stand up for out of respect if you met him in real life, not only because of basic derech eretz since he likely has multiple decades if not more on you, but because of his knowledge of Torah. I’ve davened in the same shul as him more times than I can count, and the man has seriously forgotten more torah then you’ve learnt in your life.
Sorry that politics has poisoned your jewish critical thinking skills, but “vehadarta penei zakein” is still a mitzvah in the torah, whether he agrees with your sociopolitical outlook or not
