Trump’s extended family has close ties to Lebanon. Specifically, Tiffany Trump’s husband’s father is the son of a Lebanese billionaire who is a lifelong friend of the Hezbollah bloc’s Presidential candidate there. Her husband and Trump advisor Richard Grenell, a likely Secretary of State in a second Trump Administration, are working to organize Arab American voters in Michigan for Trump. Most of them hate Biden and Harris because of their support for Israel. Note that Rashida Tlaib is NOT supporting Harris for President.
J D Vance voted against the recent Ukraine Israel Taiwan aid bill. This incredibly pleased Putin, Nasrallah, and Xi when Trump named Vance as his running mate. 14 other Republicans voted against the bill in the Senate. Only two Democrats did. Prior to Trump, those two Democrats — Welch and Merkley — would have been savagely attacked by Republicans and they would deserve such an attack. But in the Trump world it is now considered a good thing to oppose helping friends of the US. Some have objected that we should not be aiding Ukraine. But like Israel, Ukraine was the victim of a horrible unjustified attack by a neighbor. Excusing Putin’s attacks justifies the attacks by Sinwar and Nasrallah — and by the Iranian mullahs. And there is a direct connection between Putin and the mullahs: Putin subsidizes Iran to the tune of tens of billions annually and Russia is the country that allows Iran to evade the sanctions, making them worthless. Anyone not supporting Ukraine against Russia is not supporting Israel against its enemies. It is like opposing Mussolini but not Hitler or vice versa. Russia is the reason Assad is still in power and the reason pro Assad forces including Hezbollah control Lebanon. Trump is clearly a supporter of Russia, probably a Russian asset. The recent Woodward book confirms what we have known for some time.
And it was Trump himself who greenlighted Iran’s enriching uranium without limits and without monitoring. The JCPOA was a better deal than any of the nuclear deals Nixon and Ford made with the former Soviet Union in the 1970s. It had better provisions for monitoring and it basically killed any hope of Iran having any possibility of getting nuclear weapons for 15 years. Thanks to Trump Iran probably has enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon right now.
This is all public record, but the MAGA crowd lies about all of it. Trump talks the talk but his actions have the opposite effect from his rhetoric.
