But what if it turns out they were right along. In the near future, the United States will probably elect a “Progressive” Democrat as President (the job has a history of alternating between parties) and the US will join the rest of the world in supporting the Palestinians. That means Israel will be unable to import anything of value, Jews in the Diaspora will be sent to prison for sending money to Israel, and Jewish institutions worldwide will be threatened with closure (and loss of tax exempt status) for supporting the outlaw state of Israel. And of course, anyone with a past history of working with the zionists will be seen as a war criminal. And guess which Jewish organizations will be able represent the Yishuv?
The zionists have a short window to cut a deal with the Palestinians, perhaps only another three years. When the zionists see themselves in the corner with no escape, most of the frum community will realize the Hareidi rabbanim (and I am not referring to those whose primary relation with the Medinah was to trade political support for subsidies) were right all along, and that establishing a medinah at this time, by brute force and by conquering the goyim was maybe not the cleverest thing to do.
