Yes. I am happy to respond. Question number one, is the Rebbe alive or not. Obviously there is his grave at The Ohel which has thousands of visitors each year. That only means one thing. He is buried at The Ohel and yes there was a funeral and all that is involved in that. So, did he die? Obviously, yes. That should answer both your questions. Is he walking around after his death is really what you want to know. No. If so there would be photographic footage of that as there are pretty much cameras everywhere these days . Even in 770 Eastern Parkway Crown Heights Brooklyn NY his shul has a live feed on camera about five days a week called, 770LIVE. Check it out if you like. The Rebbe’s Chair is covered and uncovered during the year. To protect it from decaying I suppose. Is The Rebbe visible to the naked eye? No. But, his spiritual presence is felt as is the presence of The One Who created him. Is that unusual? No. Many saintly Tzaddikim’s presences can be felt near or at there gravesites. What’s unusual about that. Sometimes miraculous events occur where the gravesites are and sometimes miraculous healings and such can be felt when you pray to these saintly Tzaddikim in the comfort of your own home very far from the actual gravesites. With healings Doctors can be consulted to verify a before and after visit to determine if, for example, a cancer has stopped dead in it’s tracks and no trace of the cancer can be found, after first reporting to the Doctor that you asked such and such a saint/Tzaddik to intervene for you. This too, is not unusual. H”M allows for H-s saintly Tzaddikim to heal spiritually. Nothing out of the ordinary there either. Do people report seeing the saint? That is a matter of conjecture. It can not be photographed, although some have tried that too some with good and not so good results. All this to say that The Rebbe is very much a live spiritual presence. H”M has allowed for this too to promote his or her saintly qualities to the public of both believers and non believers. Then there is the question asked of why a new Rebbe is not appointed since he had no offspring between himself and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson. Well it was decided not to do that. For a more complete answer see the Chabad Lubavitch website, Chabad org and open the search engine feature and ask that and your other questions that I did not answer directly. My best wishes to you on your happy hunting for physical answers to your spiritual questions.
