A good letter, but the degree is only the first step. I’ve seen many cases where someone with excellent technical skills, be it in accounting or some other field, did not get a job because of issues with their “soft skills”. Behavior that is tolerated, or even encouraged, in the Yeshiva world (i.e., arguing with your Rebbi (supervisor) about Pshat in a Gemara (the right way to go about a project)) will get you fired in the business world.
And yes, I do have an advanced degree, and it has been key to my success in the business world (with the help of HKB”H, of course).
