Do you mean a rebbe from the yeshiva should become a collector? (Maybe I should have typed ?!?!?) I don’t like the idea.
Unfortunately, we’re not in a position at the moment to give big; I doubt a rebbe would come to my house anyway. But assuming these boys had our local tzedaka approval paper (or I knew them or had a personal connection to the yeshiva) I would give as much if either came.
