Joseph, need to disagree with you here. There is a TACHLIS in seeing whether you can have a good time/fun with the person you are dating. WHo wants to marry someone they cannot have fun with?
Could argue as to when is a good time in the dating process to do this, but there is definitely a toeles to it.
