We should not be forcing our children to become leeches off of their parents. Especially in the present economic downturn, parents cannot afford to support all their children in kollel (or who married kollel boys) even if they wanted to! Many boys schools do not even give their students a high school degree, and are told their entire elementary and high school years to “become a kollel youngerman. there is no need to learn more then the basic math or english classes….” and we are expecting our boys to get a real degree? they cant write a complete sentence!
