fnc- I am not a Dentist, I read Enlarged Lymph Nodes could be the connected to Oral Infection from the Surgery. One suggestion was to swash Salt Water (a pinch of Sea Salt in a cup of Tepid water not too hot) in the mouth, as the Salt Water may help the mouth by keeping it Sanitary. By keeping the inside of the mouth and Gums clean, it may help shrink the Enlarged Nodes. Ask your Dentist what he thinks about using Salt Water before doing this.
