Another usage error – very commonly made – when someone says, “Between you and I,” when they should be saying, “between you and me.” I believe this to be an error caused strictly by the desire to sound a little more high-brow. The former expression somehow sounds classier to some people than the more grammatically-correct form. And when someone says, “Her and I are going out tonight,” it sets my teeth on edge.
