yoshi – good post.
I have been following – or at least attempting to follow the weight watchers program. I start off my meal with a fruit bowl filled with:
Romaine lettuce
Cucumber
String beans
some olives
pickle chips
sour pickles
sugar free cucumber salad
vadilia onion
a handful of baby carrots
celery
and what ever else sounds good
let the salad marinate in the bowl for a short while – all the juices add so much flavor that you do not need dressing.
After the salad, you will eat a small piece of chicken / meat for the protein and the side dishes for a treat.
Additionally, Mrs. mdlevine bakes whole wheat challahs or whole spelt challahs which digest better and are healthier (I can post the recipe if anyone is interested).
