I don’t understand the difficulties. You can have a beautiful seudas YomTov with healthy foods! Who is talking about cakes?? What is so bad with vegtable salads/platters etc.
Have a bowl of fruit ready for your peckish moments. Better still check (e.g strawberries) and cut up fruit ready to eat.
