Just to take this train-wreck back to it’s original point…
If you truly have concerns about the native dress of places in the Carribean, then, by all means, contact your LOR. However, as I mentioned above, in the Virgin Islands (at least on St. Thomas and St. John) the dress there (away from the beaches) was no worse (and possibly better) than you would find in New York City in the summer.
