Having a l’chaim or two, or three, on Simchas Torah is part of simchas Yom Tov, if you enjoy it and space them out. I enjoy potato kugel on Yom Tov, but too much of it at once is going to get me sick, an achilas gasa, and that is assur. Same with l’chaims. Remember that l’kavod Yom Tov, get the very best.
