SJS, I wasn’t trying to imply that plaid skirts were dangerous; I think most frum students could tell the difference between a fellow student & a Catholic schoolgirl, even if they are wearing identical uniforms. I was just pointing out that many frum girls’ schools use uniforms that are not just similar but sometimes identical to those used by Catholic schools. The fact that this is done by many of the most respected frum schools implies that, generally, clothes are not considered inherently Jewish or non-Jewish. That’s the point I was trying to make.
