Yes ames- Now that you mentioned it, the askenzaz pizza is sweeter – Mendelsohn’s, Amnons etc.. Must be the sugar in the tomato sauce and crust.
SJS – I’ve made recommendations to Pizza time on Avenue J many times. My friend who has had her share of non-kosher pizza said, that their pizza is the best kosher pizza she has ever had. It really is authentic Italian Pizza. The store was originally not kosher. The Italian owner went partners with a jewish man and became Kosher. They are packed and with good reason. The pizza is always made fresh. This past Motzei Shabbat – we could have had another pizza from a local place, but my friend said if she’s in Brooklyn, she wants Pizza Time pizza. They are a little pricey ($3.00 a slice) but worth it. The crust is thin and amazing.
