Bemused, please dont take it personally, I apologize if I came out sounding harsh. I am very involved in the business world. I try to be kind to my workmates, co workers and customers. I do notice that with gentle words and kindness you get very far in business. Some customers will especially ask to deal with me and that encourages me to be even more accomodating. Not to say that pple are kind to get far in business, but its a good idea if you want to be successful to be pleasant and mentchlach. And some times its not easy to tell what pples motives really are. In the case of this restaurant, it is possible that he is a real mentch, but it is also possible that his actions were as such out of customer satisfaction.
