Malavsky was a beautiful chazzan. His love of the music is manifest in every composition he recorded. As to his making it a “family business” including his daughters, his doing so kept his kids Jewishly connected. They went on to raise Jewish families and did not assimilate. Any ehrlich father would do likewise.
