I am concerned that alcohol might damage the dresser. Try a little on a cotton swab in an inconspicuous place. I would ask a furniture store if they had a recommendation for this. I had another thought just this second – have you tried a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? Try using it, again, on an inconspicuous area, to make sure it does not harm the finish of the furniture. I have used it to clean my walls from all sorts of stains, successfully.
