SJS, when I was a kid – before all this global warming really cooked up the globe – there was so much snow that we couldn’t walk the ten miles to school (uphill both ways) each day because we would sink into it and not be able to walk. Actually, it was not just to school but anywhere that one wanted to walk. So we had to displace our weight on skis or snowshoes. Snowboards were not invented yet, so they were not worn.
