actually, before he comes to the gemoro logic answers he gives like ten other possibilities. I forget how i tgoes exactly, but some are:
the dirty one takes a shower because he sees himself dirty, and clean on doesn’t because sees himslef clean
neither takes a shower because clean one sees himself clean, and dirty one sees clean one, so thinks hes also clean
both take a shower because dirty one sees himself and clean one sees dirty on
etc
