I guess being Jewish does have its advantages when you are in called for jury. I heard this funny story from a lady that her husband was chosen to serve in a jury-I think its called “sequested?” or something-that means that you can’t go home until the trial ends and they provide you with accomidations and food because they don’t want you to have any outside influence. Anyway he wanted to get himself out of it bec, he had no interest spending a couple of weeks cooped up in some hotel, so he told the judge, “ok if you want me here im gonna need kosher food, I have to be allowed to pray 3 times a day in a synagogue, keep shabbos….” The judge just looked at him and told him to GO HOME! pretty easy, no?
