ASF, I am truly delighted (not being sarcastic) that things worked out so well for you. Both you and your husband must be very special people. But you are among a small percentage of people who are an exception, IMO, and I wonder how many other girls in a similar situation really feel as you do, or simply cannot cop to the true feelings that they harbor after the fact.
