I don’t think first dates have to be expensive, but two strangers meeting for coffee is not always so enjoyable either, especially if the girl doesn’t drink coffee. Spring for a slice of pizza, or go for ice cream, for Heaven’s sake! You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, and you don’t want that impression to be that you are a cheap and inconsiderate clod. And girls, the same applies to you in another way.
