as i understand it (and i have type 1 so i know that more…) is that in type 1 the pancreas does not produce insulin AT ALL and type 2 the pancreas DOES produce insulin but the body does not know hot to process/use it. which is why type 2 can be resolved by losing weight sometimes and why type 1 is always there. type 1 has NOTHING to do with weight. they say it can be caused by a virus but that cannot be proven
